Lane Olson, Susan Foley, Brian Baranek, Eric Erickson, Nate Martin, Allen Thomas, Cindi Thomas, June Shepler, Brian Paden, Adam Sholton, Vicki Westphal, Patty Livingston, all property owners, met at the home of Mark and Susan Foley at 6:00 p.m. The group is currently known as the Wolf Lake Airport Transition Committee.
This was the committee’s second meeting and a number of new folks were in attendance. A large map of the Wolf Lake Airport area which showed the lots around the airport/taxiways was available for viewing. A brief review of the airport history, including all the different phases of the subdivision, i.e. Aero on Wolf Lake (several additions and phases), Northfork, Wiley Post, Flying Circus, Concorde, Lucky Lindy and Aviator, was given.
Vicki presented 3-ring binders to those in attendance which contained [1] a chart of the various phases of development relative to recorded plats and CCRs (Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions), [2] copies of plats, and [3] copies of covenants. [The chart and a set of copies of the plats and CCRs had been compiled by the title company.] Patty presented some background information about the platting process required by the borough, including how plats are numbered, plat notes, names, CCRs recorded with plats, etc. Lane presented general information about the area on the northeast side, which has the active owners’ association, and some of the issues that had come before the owners’ association through the years.
There was general discussion and questions among the members about the differences in the various CCRs as well as relationships between property owners and airport owners. Some members expressed specific interest in certain issues covered by CCRs. The members will review and try to become familiar with the CCRs for all areas prior to next month’s meeting. The CCRS will be posted to the wolflakeairport.biz website.
Those in attendance again discussed the concept of all property owners in the airport subdivisions adopting one “universal” set of covenants for all property owners. Committee members will continue to communicate individually with property owners around the airport to try to promote interest in the project.
Anyone interested in discussing the project can contact a committee member. The next meeting will be March 18, 2009, at Lane Olson’s home.
